Factors Affecting Aviation Employees' Voluntary Reporting Avoidance Behavior: A Model Proposal
Havacılık Çalışanlarının Gönüllü Raporlamadan Kaçınma Davranışlarını Etkileyen Faktörler: Bir Model Önerisi
Aviation is one of the few high-risk industries in the world with high reliability. In order to create a safe environment, it is important for aviation employees to be aware of unsafe situations, hazards and potential risks. The purpose of this study is to reveal the reasons for the non-reporting behavior of aviation employees, which prevents managers from accessing information, and to propose a model to reduce the barriers in voluntary reporting behavior or to improve reporting that will contribute to the creation of an effective flight and ground safety culture. As a result, the Compliance-Balance Model in Voluntary Reporting has been put forward with the help of document analysis by utilizing secondary data sources and it is suggested that aviation managers should apply this model that will enable them to access more information.
